Ag & Natural Resources Committee Objective: This committee works to increase economic activity and mutual understanding between people and businesses in Rapid City and their rural neighbors. This group also focuses and addresss agricultural and natural resource issues at all government levels.

Social begins at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m.
Every year we take this opportunity to thank our rural neighbors for their patronage to Rapid City and their valuable contributions to the economy of South Dakota. We will also honor the Aggie and Ag Producer of the Year recipients. These individuals will be recognized for their contributions to the Ag & Natural Resources industry.

Scholarships
Every year, the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee gives away four $1000 scholarships to. These scholarships will provide for formal instruction in any SOUTH DAKOTA accredited university, college, technical school or other recognized program, preparing young people for careers in agriculture and natural resources related fields. Eligibility is limited to young men and women who were high school students in the spring of 2011 or who will graduate from high school in the spring of 2012. Former scholarship winners are not eligible.

Aggie & Ag Producer Nominations
The Ag & Natural Resources Committee of the Rapid City Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2011 AGGIE and Ag Producer of the Year awards.
Annually, the Chamber selects these awards to honor individuals who have made large contributions to agriculture in western South Dakota. Persons selected for these awards will be honored at the annual Ag Appreciation Banquet on December 1, 2011 at the Ramkota Convention Center II. The deadline for these nominations is Friday, September 23, 2011. Click on either link below to print a nomination form.
