** Allied Arts Fund   
Allied Arts Fund is a united funding agency for the arts in Rapid City and the Black Hills.  It has been providing financial operating and promotional support for its member art agencies since 1971.

Art Alley is an alley in downtown Rapid City between Main Street and Saint Joseph from 6th to 7th Streets.  Exhibits include graffiti and other works by local artists.

** Artists of the Black Hills    Artists of the Black Hills is a non-profit organization of professional artists, artisans and galleries with the common goal of establishing the Black Hills region as a prime source for art of the highest quality. 

Arts Rapid City    An online repository of all things concerning arts and culture.

The Apex Gallery    The Apex Gallery is a public gallery featuring works of arts and science at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

Black Hills Chamber Music Society    The Black Hills Chamber Music Society has been bringing a wide variety of chamber music to Rapid City for 50 years.  They are very involved in music education throughout the area.

** Black Hills Community Theatre    BHCT stages five main productions yearly, has several troupes and a costume shop, and is located at the Performing Arts Center.  

** Black Hills Playhouse  Located in Custer State Park, the Black Hills Playhouse is celebrating their 70th year in operation.  The Playhouse is a professional company whose mission is to enhance and inspire lives through professional theatre productions and learning experiences.

Black Hills Showcase Chorus    Black Hills Showcase Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, made up of women who sing four-part a cappella harmony at civic events and charitable functions.

Black Hills Suzuki School    Seven teachers instruct over 110 students who perform extensively, with six or more concerts and solo recitals each year.  The Black Hills Suzuki School partners with the Rapid City Area Schools String Department; together they have built a string education program whose size and quality is exceptional in a town the size of Rapid City.  (605) 718-3867 or (605) 786-4951

** Black Hills Symphony Orchestra    Now in its 80th year, BHSO employs approximately 90 community musicians, including 60 string players. They perform five major concerts a year at the Performing Arts Center, often featuring local musicians and importing virtuosos from around the world. 

** Chiesman Center for Democracy, Inc.    The Chiesman Center for Democracy is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that promotes and supports civic education, community engagement and organizational / leadership development. Their programs encourage citizens of all ages to be active participants in the very fabric of our community.

** The Dahl Arts Center    This municipal facility includes galleries, arts education, a theater and meeting spaces.  Exhibits feature diverse contemporary artists, live performances, and music and film festivals.

** Dakota Choral Union    Dakota Choral Union performs significant choral works with groups of both auditioned and non-auditioned singers.

Dakota Drum Company    The Dakota Drum Company specializes in traditional buffalo hide drums and Native American art.

** Flutter Productions    Flutter Productions, part of the Black Hills Works family, challenges the perception of people with disabilities and creates a new creative community in which performers—with or without disabilities—come together to create works that celebrate the human spirit.

Indian Museum of North America    Located at Crazy Horse Memorial, this museum is home to an extraordinary collection of art and artifacts reflecting the diverse histories and cultures of the American Indian people.

** The Journey Museum    The Journey Museum and Learning Center is an educational venue that serves to preserve and explore the heritage of the cultures of the Black Hills region.  It is composed of four major prehistoric and historic collections:  SDSM&T Museum of Geology,   SD Archaeological Research Center, Sioux Indian Museum, Minnilusa Pioneer Museum

**Main Street Square    Main Street Square is a public space in the heart of downtown Rapid City.  In the winter you can ice skate, and in the summer watch movies under the stars.  This space regularly holds special events and festivals, (i.e., Summer Nights concert series, Holiday celebrations, Movies Under the Stars, Art and Wine festival, and many others.)

** Performing Arts Center    The home of the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra, the Black Hills Community Theatre, the Black Hills Showcase, and the Rapid City Children’s Chorus.  This historical building has been renovated with two performance venues: an 830-seat Historic Theatre, and a 170-seat Studio Theatre. 

** Prairie Edge Trading Co. & Galleries    Prairie Edge prides itself on carrying the finest art of the Northern Great Plains created by regional and nationally acclaimed artists.  They have a Bead Library and authentic supplies for crafters, as well as a book and music section dedicated to Native American and Western history.

Rapid City Children’s Chorus    As a coalition member of the Performing Arts Center, the Rapid City Children’s Chorus is comprised of children in grades 3 through 8 who audition for this professional-level performing choir. 

** Rushmore Plaza Civic Center    The RPCC has been the entire region’s entertainment center for more than three decades. The Civic Center Theater hosts the annual Broadway Play series of top quality traveling productions such as “Grease,” “A Chorus Line,” and “All That Jazz.” The Civic Center has also hosted top touring musical acts such as Elton John and Taylor Swift

** Suzie Cappa Art Center    The Suzie Cappa Art Center a division of Black Hills Works who provides services and support to over 630 adults with disabilities.  The art center is a non-profit studio where artists with all abilities create, exhibit, and sell their work and participate in music, theatre and dance.
