During the annual meeting the Chamber will recognize Anya Mueller of KNBN TV as “The Young Professional of the Year.” Anya demonstrates vision, professionalism and involvement, resulting in a positive impact on the community.  Anya’s outgoing personality and ability to successfully balance family, a challenging career and a wide variety of community activities is a true inspiration to her peers and those fortunate to work with her.

The Rapid City Convention & Visitors Bureau will present their “Black Hills Hero Award” to Michelle Lintz, recently retired Executive Director of the Rapid City CVB. Lintz’s many accomplishments include being awarded the prestigious Ben Black Elk Award and the Black Hills Advertising Association’s Silver Medal Award as well as overseeing the Bureau as it received the Governor Mickelson Great Service Award, the Bruce Riley McDaniel Award for the CVB’s role in implementing a BID tax in 2006 enabling communities to market and advertise and the Excellence in Innovation award in marketing. The Chamber’s Board of Directors will present the Chamber’s most prestigious honor, the 2014 “George Award” to Ray Hillenbrand, who is admired for his quiet dedication to improving our downtown and city. Without Ray’s relentless leadership our Main Street Square may not have come to fruition.
