Rapid City Chamber of Commerce

Now Accepting Junior LRC Applications

 – By Rapid City Chamber

Does your high school student need a fun, challenging opportunity to become equipped for success? If so, they need to inquire about the Rapid City Chamber’s Junior Leadership Rapid City program.

Since its inception in 2001, this program has graduated 178 high school students who have gone on to be successful contributors to their community. Participants of this five week leadership program have the opportunity to build leadership skills, practice professionalism, meet community leaders, and network with other young leaders. Graduates of this program are also eligible to submit an application for a college scholarship.

All high school sophomores, juniors and seniors from any Rapid City public, private or homeschool can apply. This year’s program begins Thursday, January 30 and ends March 6. Sessions begin at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with one full-day Saturday session on February 22.

The application deadline is Friday, December 6, 2013 by 5 p.m. (late applications will not be accepted.) For more information and to obtain an application click here.  All accepted applicants will pay a $50 tuition fee to offset program costs. Please feel free to contact the Rapid City Chamber of Commerce at 343-1744 for additional information.
