127th Chamber Annual Meeting

Rapid City, SD – The Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its 127th Annual Meeting on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center LaCroix Hall. The event will be a fun Caddy Shack golf theme. The evening will begin with a social at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a program starting at 7 p.m. 

 

The Chamber’s most prestigious awards will be presented at the meeting - the Young Professional of the Year Award, the Black Hills Hero Award and the George Award.

The Chamber’s Rally for Membership starts today!

The Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Rally for Membership event during the month of August! Membership Director Jason Wittenberg and the Chamber Ambassador Committee are spearheading the event with hopes to recruit at least 50 new members.  The Rally for Membership will be effective during the entire month of August with an amped up “Rally Days” event on August 22 and 23.

Rapid City Wins "Best of the Road" Contest

Recently, Rapid City was selected as a finalist in the nationally sponsored Rand McNally and USA Today “Best of the Road” contest. Through a voting process, thorough review, and captivating photos, Rapid City qualified in the category for ‘Most Patriotic’ Best Small Town in the United States. Other categories included ‘Most Fun’, ‘Most Beautiful’, ‘Friendliest’, and ‘Best for Food’. Vying for ‘Most Patriotic’ title rights along with Rapid City were five other small towns: Williamsburg, VA; Clarksville, TN; Peachtree City, GA; Ft. Leonard Wood, MO; and Emporia, KS.
