Bleeding Control Basics Course
May 23, 2019 8:30 am - 9:00 pmThursday, May 23rd is the second annual National Stop the Bleed Day. To commemorate the day, the City of Box Elder will be hosting four, FREE, two hour sessions of the Bleeding Control Basics course for residents of Box Elder, Ellsworth Air Force Base, and students and employees of the Douglas School District. Session times are 8:30-10:30am, 12:30-2:30pm, 3:30-5:30pm, and 7:00-9:00pm. The Bleeding Control Basic (BCon) Course is designed for individuals who have little or no medical training but who may be called upon as immediate responders to provide initial trauma care and bleeding control to a victim of traumatic injury prior to the arrival of emergency medical services (EMS) or in an austere environment.
